West End bars

Opened in December 2015, Pig ‘N’ Whistle West End is a trendy, modern bar and restaurant with a well utilised space in a prime location in between two thriving Brisbane locales, South Brisbane and West End. It is a modern take on a British themed pub, with subtle hints of this throughout and a classic street corner vibe that you will find on the streets of London, perfectly placed on the corner of Merivale and Melbourne streets, across from the iconic Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Boasting refined yet affordable dining options and eclectic flavours from all around the world, the menu has been produced with an underlying British theme in line with five other Pig ‘N’ Whistle venues around Brisbane at Indooroopilly, Queen Street, Riverside, Brunswick Street and King George Square. The restaurant and bar holds 550 seats, making it one of the largest West End bars.   Pig ‘N’ Whistle West End is the newest of its kind and brings an exciting new bar atmosphere perfect for functions, watching sport, Friday afternoon knock-offs and social engagements on the weekends. It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends over some drinks and delicious food, with a non-pretentious vibe and a large open-plan floor space that is vibrant without being too noisy or distracting. With only a short walking distance to the city, the West End location is around the corner from the main cultural hub of Brisbane city any way you turn. 

It is a modern, architecturally-inspired venue that boasts a welcoming and inviting space, featuring what will become an iconic restaurant for the area, perfect for a drink with friends and ideal for functions of any kind, from engagement parties to charity events to corporate functions and more. Gorgeous vaulted-ceilings line the interior above an impressively long bar, which is fitted with state-of-the-art beer systems and taps, boasting one of the biggest range of craft beers on offer in West End, not to mention our Barista station, serving company-owned Mantle & Moon craft coffee.

Our aim is to provide a memorable venue in a comfortable space, with great food, craft beer & wine, live music seven nights every week on the street corner (Melbourne Street and Merivale Street) and customer service that is friendly, uncomplicated and of the very best quality. Pig ‘N’ Whistle West End aims to provide a tried, true and traditional pub & restaurant destination that will benefit the area with some of the finest food and beverage offerings at reasonable prices.

West end Bars

With a state-of-the-art kitchen and professional kitchen team, the food at Pig ‘N’ Whistle West End is fine quality. With a focus on plating up only the best quality ingredients in an aesthetically satisfying way, the kitchen team ensures all meals offer a great combination of elements and the menus are carefully thought out to achieve a unique, innovative and memorable flavour. The kitchen is led by Head Chef, Hossein Moshtaghi, and Executive Chef, Deniz Coskun.
